Rules
Players
- All players must be chosen from the list of players available
- Players and positions will be as determined in the players list and cannot be changed
- You can choose either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation
- You can only choose a maximum of TWO players per Premier League team
- There are no budget restrictions so you can choose any players, as long as you follow the above rules
- On some occasions, players are withdrawn from the game. This can be for a number of reasons, including long term injury or popularity. You must replace any withdrawn player with a new player. If you have submitted a team, you will be informed if a player is withdrawn. If you do not replace a player in time, one will be chosen for you at random.
- You must pick 11 different players
Transfers
- The players list will be refreshed approximately one week before the signup window closes, to include any transfer window movement up to that point
- Players who move between Premier League clubs after this point will remain as the club they are listed here but will score for the new club when the game starts
- Players who move out of the Premier League club will not score any points. It is your responsibility to change the player before the entries close. We will try to warn you where possible.
- If you do not change a player who leaves the Premier League, or is withdrawn from the game, we may replace this player with a random player after signup closes. You can opt out of this if you wish. Email the contact address to opt out.
Monthly Goals
- Spot prizes will be awarded to the player who most closely predicts the number of goals scored during the first weekend of that month.
- You must choose a different number for each month.
- No adjustments will be made for any postponed games.
- Goals scored in any abandoned games will count.
Tiebreakers
- Tiebreakers are used when there is a tie for positions when paying season end prizes or when there is a draw during a fantasy cup knockout or monthly goals round
- Enter the teams you think will be in the selected positions in the Premier League at the time the tiebreaker is needed
- You must pick 5 different teams
- Enter your guess at the attendance of the most recent Swindon Town home league match at the time of the tiebreaker.
- Attendance prediction must be unique. If another player has chosen the same number as you before you, we will contact you to choose another number. If you do not update your choice in time, your guess will be reduced by 1 until it is unique.
- The first tiebreaker will be in a “penalty shootout” format using the 5 positions guessed. If your guess is accurate at the time, you will “score”.
- If the score is level after 5 penalties, the person closest to the attendance will be the winner
- In the unlikely event of the attendance tiebreaker difference being equal, the player closest without going over will win
Prizes
- By entering a team, you agree to pay the entrance fee of £20 per team
- All entrance money will be paid out in prizes, either in cash or as a free entry into the next league
- In the event that a player has already won free entry in to the next league and then wins another prize, subsequent prizes will be paid as cash
Halfway There prize
- The Halfway There prize goes to the player sitting halfway down the table on the weekend closest to the halfway point of the league period.
- If there is an even number of players, the halfway position is half the total number. For example, with 24 players, it’s the player in 12th place.
- If there is an odd number of players, it’s the player with an equal number of players above and below them. For example, with 21 players, it’s 11th place (10 above and 10 below).
